Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
- Flight from Ottawa to Pond Inlet via Iqualuit
- Airport pick up and transport to hotel and welcome dinner
- Presentation and gear check along with community exploring
Day 2: Expedition Departure to the Floe Edge
- Breakfast at the Hotel
- Lunch Time Departure from Pond Inlet by Snow Machine and Qamultik to the Floe Edge; 70km Trip
- Arrival at Base Camp
Day 3 - 6: Day Trips from our Base Camp
- Explore the Floe Edge and the shores of Bylot Island by snow machine and Qamultik
- Observation of bird cliffs, icebergs, floe-edge and sea ice (weather permitting, possible skiing)
Day 7: Return to Pond Inlet
- Return journey by snow machine and Qamultik to Pond Inlet
- Dinner and hotel accommodation
Day 8: Departure Day
- Breakfast at hotel
